The Simple Fields Extraction API in KAPTO is designed to retrieve data from fields classified as "simple" in the entity schema. As outlined in our guide on Entity Extraction in KAPTO: Simple and Unbounded Fields, simple fields usually represent a single instance in the document, no matter how many times the information occurs within the document.
By using the Simple Fields Extraction API, you can make an API call to access a detailed list of simple entities discovered in a document, together with their corresponding AI-extracted values. When explicitly requested by KAPTO, human-annotated values are also provided where a human operator has reviewed and possibly amended the AI-extracted value as outlined .
