Document Communication Transaction

The AI-Driven Mailroom Solution

Every document in KAPTO belongs to a specific communication transaction. This feature is crucial as it helps to maintain the logical chain of the document's origin. KAPTO's ability to record the original transaction data and associated elements when necessary further enhances this function, enabling an accurate and detailed tracing of a document's lineage.

This feature becomes particularly beneficial when documents are created in KAPTO from an email. KAPTO can efficiently extract attachments, manage the email's header and body as separate documents attached to the main document, and merge attachments into a single document if required.

These fundamental functionalities make KAPTO the perfect foundation for developing sophisticated AI-driven mailrooms. It can automatically process incoming mail, efficiently segregating different types of documents, and directing them to their appropriate destinations. This automation not only enhances operational efficiency but also ensures a meticulous record of document transactions, vital for data analysis, audit trails, and process transparency.

This document transaction feature of KAPTO significantly aids the advanced AI models, like the categorization and split-out models, in distinguishing and processing complex documents. For example, a categorization and split-out model could identify a document containing a writ of summon, a power of attorney, and a delivery notification. The document would then be divided into its constituent parts, each of which becomes a new document sent to an extraction model specialized in handling them. This model extracts information necessary for further processing outside KAPTO.

By maintaining a record of the communication transaction, it's possible to trace back the origin of a document and understand the part it played in the original communication. This capability ensures a complete understanding of a document's history, critical for process clarity, information accuracy, and effective decision-making.
